The Visiting Teaching Movie

Thanks to Sister Irene (Sister Liew's wonderful mom) who e-mailed me about this movie, I've watched it and decided that it's totally worth sharing with everyone here. In Sister Irene's words, "Hope you enjoy the movie. It is funny!" and I'd add this, "and spiritual too."

Branch Goals

On 18 January 2009, President Renner challenged our branch with these goals. He challenged us again on 21 March 2010. Have we been working on them? Do we even remember what they are?

1. Honest tithing

2. Family home evening

3. Repent of serious sins

4. Home/visiting teaching

5. 72-hour kits

6. 3-month food storage

7. Active in church

8. Free from debt

(except for a modest home)

On 21 March 2010, President Renner announced that our branch will be splitting in 12 months or less.

1. We are to focus on being temporally and spiritually reliant.

2. Leaders are to train those for whom they are responsible.

3. Teachers are to prepare their lessons well and teach by the spirit.

4. Those who hold grudges should repent and move on.

5. Those who are coasting along should start contributing.

6. By December 2010, we could have about 10 members from our branch serving missions, including sisters.

On 25 April 2010, President Renner instructed us to be temple-worthy so that we could go to the temple as a branch in September/October 2010.

Let us be faithful and obedient that we may reap the blessings the Lord has in store for us.
